MEADOW CREEK VILLAGE
Meadow Creek Village was created through a community-based design charrette held in 2005. Over 35 participants, from engineers, planners and architects to service agencies and residents, took part in the design of this new community.
The final design features 344 homes in apartment and townhouse build form, a Community Centre surrounded by developed green space, including a play area and outdoor skating rink, as well as pedestrian friendly transportation routes.
Meadow Creek Village will be home to families, individuals, couples and seniors. This mix of residents will play a vital part in building a sense of community that is valued in our city, where many find themselves far from home and family. The Community Centre will be the heart of Meadow Creek Village, offering recreational and celebration space for community residents, opportunities for hosting community organizations and events and even the potential for residents to create informal child care and local recreation leagues.
With the completion of The Cascades in the Fall of 2010 and the Community Centre in the Spring of 2011, Meadow Creek Village will be complete and home to the following rental properties:
